Ganfeng Lithium: 6 billion project signed Hohhot

On the evening of July 20, Ganfeng Lithium announced that its subsidiary Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Technology Co., Ltd. planned to sign an investment agreement with the People's Government of Tumed Left Banner, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, to invest in the construction of lithium battery production project in Chilechuan Dairy Development Zone.

It is reported that the project is divided into two phases, with the first phase constructing a 10GWh lithium battery project with an annual production capacity, with a planned investment amount of no more than 6 billion yuan. It is expected to start construction this month and be completed and put into operation by the end of 2024; The second phase will start investment and construction at the appropriate time based on market demand, with some uncertainty. The project funds will be self raised by the company.

On January 19, Ganfeng Lithium announced that it planned to invest 10 billion yuan in Chongqing Fuling High tech Zone with Three Gorges Water Resources and Dongfang Xinyuan to build a 24GWh power battery project.

On January 19, Ganfeng Lithium announced that it planned to invest 5 billion yuan in Dongguan to build a new 10GWh annual lithium battery and energy storage headquarters project.

In February, the power battery project of Ganfeng Lithium Battery East China Base was officially signed and settled in the Suzhou Suxiang Cooperation Zone. The planned production capacity of this project is 5GWh of new lithium batteries and 10GWh of power battery systems.

Aerospace Lithium Battery: 14.2 Billion Project Landing Baotou

On July 15, the commencement ceremony of the 30GWh lithium battery pack Ultimate Factories and battery cell integration industrial base project of Aerospace Lithium Battery Technology (Baotou) Co., Ltd. was held in Jiuyuan Industrial Park, Baotou City

It is reported that the project base is the first base established in the northwest of China for aerospace lithium batteries. The total investment of the project is 14.25 billion yuan, covering an area of 1200 acres. The first phase of the project has an investment of about 4.75 billion yuan, and the first phase of the project has reached its production capacity. It can produce 5GWh lithium battery packs, 5GWh battery cells, and upstream and downstream supporting products annually, achieving a total annual output value of about 10 billion yuan.

Public information shows that Aerospace Lithium Battery, founded in 2020, is a lithium battery business platform under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, focusing on five core application fields of "commercial vehicle electrification, energy storage, ship electrification, agricultural machinery electrification, and high-end lead-acid replacement".

It is understood that the aerospace lithium battery has been built into a production base in Jiangsu, with 1 research and development pilot line and 7 fully automated cylindrical cell production lines. The annual production capacity reaches 5GWh, and it has now been fully put into operation.

According to the aerospace lithium power plan, in the next three years, the aerospace lithium power will take Yangzhou Gaoyou as the headquarters to build six major industrial clusters nationwide, realize the overall layout of East China, South China, West China, North China and Central China, and achieve a total capacity of 300GWh.
